Early fall is a great time to plant here in south central Texas. Cooler weather and timely rain will harden the root system for the dormant period to come, and not to mention, it is also more bearable for people as well! Join us at Mitchell Lake Audubon on October 13th for basics of planting and wildscaping for your yard. This is a hands on class, so be prepared to get personal with some of our native species of plants that will turn your yard into a welcoming oasis for wildlife.

What to bring: Water bottle and your own garden gloves. We will provide the garden tools.
