National Poetry Month at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center
Jim LaVilla-Havelin and Kamala Platt will present a workshop on Writing & Reading about Nature. Focus will be on: Observation and Notation, Writing Exercises, Readings from Naturalist Writers / Environmentalists (Prose, Poetry), Keeping a journal - ongoing attentiveness. Resources we will have available: provide bibliographies, lists of local and national resources, intro to Stone in Stream. Participants should bring notebook or pad, and writing implements.
Participation is free with entry fee.
