2019 Beginner Bird Walks

Join us every 4th Saturday of the month for this regularly scheduled Bird Walk! Travelling by foot, this bird tour is perfect for the beginning birder. Your guide will go over basic bird identification techniques: visual IDs, habitat and behavior clues, and birding by ear as a last resort. Experience several of our varied habitats on your walk to see a variety of bird species. This walk is suitable for all lovers of nature, age 10 years and older. Bring: water bottle, seasonally appropriate clothing, and binoculars plus a favorite field guide if you have them. No Binocular? No Problem! We have some you may borrow with an ID; your guide will review proper binocular use before the walk gets started.
