Create art and useful objects and nibble or sip on natural refreshments from plants found at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center.  Cultivation and conservation will also be explored.  Ages 18+

June 4th – Seeds of Knowledge - All Things Yucca. This month features beautiful native yuccas. Create baskets, paintings, soap, and jewelry while nibbling on yucca snacks and exploring the natural history of this versatile plant.

July 2nd –  Seeds of Knowledge. Prickly Pear Productions. Learn to make prickly pear syrup and cochineal dye.  Sample dishes and drinks made from prickly pear and take home your own prickly pear creations!  See why prickly pear is great for a sustainable harvest, boundary security, wildscaping and water conservation in your own backyard. 

August 6th – Seeds of Knowledge. Invasive Arts and Eats. Save a native plant – use invasives! We will explore culinary and creative uses of some of the worst invasive species in our area.

September 3rd – POSTPONED - Seeds of Knowledge. Mighty Mesquite. Dig into the world of the Honey Mesquite tree. We will chomp on mesquite muffins while creating mesquite masterpieces.
